You get fit for your driver.
You get fit for your irons.
So why are so many golfers still choosing the club they use on almost every hole simply because it looks good?
Your putter should be fit to you.
At Clubhouse Hawaii, we built a dedicated putting studio designed to measure the entire putting system — the golfer, the stroke, the putter and what happens to the golf ball after impact.
Our Putt Lab combines SAM PuttLab, SAM PuttStudio, SAM BalanceLab, two camera views, professional putting instruction, AimPoint training, Tempo Stik+ and more than 1,800 possible putter fitting combinations.
This is not standing in a golf store and rolling five putts with three different putters.
This is a real putter fitting and putting lesson environment.
Why Get a Putter Fitting?
A putter can look great and still be completely wrong for the golfer using it.
Length, loft, lie, head shape, alignment, grip, balance and setup can all influence how you aim the putter and deliver the face at impact.
And sometimes the putter isn't the main problem at all.
Your setup, eye position, posture, aim, tempo or pressure movement may be creating the miss.
That's why our fitting process starts by measuring what is actually happening.
We don't want to guess.
SAM PuttLab — Measure the Stroke
SAM PuttLab gives our fitters and instructors a detailed measurement of the putting stroke.
It analyzes more than 70 putting parameters and allows us to study areas such as:
- Aim at address
- Face angle
- Face angle at impact
- Stroke path
- Face rotation
- Loft
- Lie
- Timing
- Tempo
- Acceleration
- Impact consistency
- Stroke consistency
Instead of saying, “I think you're pulling putts,” we can measure exactly what the putter is doing.
That matters because two golfers who miss left may be doing it for completely different reasons.
SAM PuttStudio — Measure What the Ball Does
Knowing what the putter did is only part of the story.
We also want to know what happened to the golf ball.
SAM PuttStudio tracks the real golf ball on our putting surface and gives immediate visual feedback.
We can analyze areas including:
- Start direction
- Launch
- Skid
- Roll
- Pace
- Distance control
- Ball direction
- Consistency
PuttStudio can also project training lines, targets, pace ladders and drills directly onto the putting surface.
That means you don't simply hear what happened.
You can see it.
SAM BalanceLab — Measure the Golfer
Most putter fittings stop with the putter and the golf ball.
Ours doesn't.
SAM BalanceLab allows us to look at the golfer's pressure and balance during the putting stroke.
Are you stable at address?
Is your pressure moving during the stroke?
Are you making a compensation that affects your face control or strike?
Sometimes what appears to be a putting-stroke problem begins with how the golfer is standing and interacting with the ground.
BalanceLab gives us another piece of the puzzle.
Two Camera Views — See What You Are Actually Doing
Data is powerful, but golfers also need to see themselves.
Our putting studio uses two camera views so we can examine setup and movement alongside the SAM data.
We look at areas such as:
- Posture
- Ball position
- Eye position
- Hand position
- Shaft angle
- Setup consistency
- Body movement during the stroke
Now we can connect what SAM PuttLab measures with what we see on camera.
Stroke data + ball roll + pressure + video.
That gives us a much more complete picture.
More Than 1,800 Putter Fitting Options
Once we understand your stroke, we can start testing equipment.
Clubhouse Hawaii has more than 1,800 potential putter fitting combinations.
We can compare different:
- Putter heads
- Head shapes
- Neck styles
- Toe-hang profiles
- Face-balanced designs
- Lengths
- Lofts
- Lie angles
- Grips
- Shaft configurations
- Alignment systems
Our fitting inventory includes premium putters from leading manufacturers, giving golfers the ability to compare very different designs in the same measurable environment.
The objective isn't to tell you which putter is popular.
The objective is to identify which setup helps YOU aim better, start the ball better and control distance more consistently.
We Measure Your Current Putter First
You don't automatically need a new putter.
Bring the putter you currently use.
We want to know exactly what it is before we start recommending anything.
Depending on the fitting, we can evaluate and measure:
- Putter length
- Loft
- Lie
- Grip
- Head design
- Balance characteristics
- Aim tendency
- Setup
- Stroke delivery
Sometimes your current putter is actually a good fit and simply needs an adjustment.
Sometimes the data clearly shows that another design performs better.
We let the results guide the decision.
Putting Lessons — Not Just Putter Fittings
The Putt Lab is also a complete putting instruction environment.
You may have the correct putter and still need to improve how you use it.
Our professionals can work with you on:
- Aim
- Start line
- Face control
- Stroke path
- Tempo
- Speed control
- Distance control
- Green reading
- Setup
- Pressure and balance
Our instructors have trained and learned firsthand from some of the game's leading putters and putting coaches and bring that knowledge into a measurable teaching environment.
Learn AimPoint Green Reading
A great stroke doesn't help much if you're aiming at the wrong place.
Clubhouse Hawaii also teaches AimPoint concepts to help golfers better understand slope and read greens.
Instead of guessing how much a putt will break, golfers learn how to evaluate slope and develop a repeatable green-reading process.
We can combine green reading with start-line and speed training so you're working on the complete putt:
Read it. Aim it. Start it. Control the speed.
Tempo Stik+ Training
Tempo is another major part of consistent putting.
Using Tempo Stik+ and our other training tools, we can help golfers understand and develop a more repeatable putting rhythm.
That becomes particularly valuable for distance control.
Rather than simply telling a golfer to “slow down” or “be smoother,” we can use technology and training aids to create measurable feedback.
Putting Is More Than Stroke Mechanics
Good putting is a combination of several skills.
You need to:
- Read the green correctly
- Aim the putter correctly
- Start the ball on your intended line
- Control speed
- Use equipment that fits your setup and stroke
If one of those pieces is wrong, putts are going to be missed.
That's why our putting process isn't built around one number or one piece of technology.
We want to understand the entire system.
SAM PuttLab + PuttStudio + BalanceLab
Each system gives us something different.
SAM PuttLab tells us what the putter is doing.
SAM PuttStudio tells us what the golf ball is doing.
SAM BalanceLab tells us what the golfer is doing against the ground.
Then our camera system allows us to visually connect the measurements to your setup and movement.
Put everything together and we can make much better decisions about both equipment and technique.
A Putting Studio Unlike Anything Else in Hawaii
There are places where you can try putters.
There are places where you can take a putting lesson.
There are places with a putting mat.
Clubhouse Hawaii was built to do all of it together.
Our Putt Lab combines:
- SAM PuttLab
- SAM PuttStudio
- SAM BalanceLab
- Two camera views
- AimPoint instruction
- Tempo Stik+
- Professional putting instruction
- More than 1,800 putter fitting combinations
- Full putter measurement and adjustment
To our knowledge, no other facility in Hawaii combines this complete putting-analysis, fitting and training environment in one studio.
That's why we built the Putt Lab.
Who Should Get a Putter Fitting?
Not just low-handicap golfers.
A putter fitting can help:
- Beginners who don't know what type of putter they should use
- Golfers who struggle with alignment
- Players who consistently pull or push putts
- Golfers who struggle with distance control
- Competitive juniors
- College golfers
- Low-handicap players
- Anyone considering buying a premium putter
If you're about to spend hundreds of dollars on a putter, it makes sense to know whether it actually fits you.
Stop Guessing on the Greens
Most golfers know their driver club speed.
They know their carry distances.
They know their iron lofts.
But ask them what their putter face angle is at impact, how they aim, what their tempo is or how the ball actually launches and rolls — and they have no idea.
We can measure it.
Then we can help you improve it.
