Back-to-school season has arrived, and some of Hawaiʻi’s best collegiate golfers are already putting in the work.
This fall, both the men’s and women’s golf teams from the University of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Pacific University are training at The Clubhouse Hawaiʻi.
These players are not simply hitting balls or rolling putts. They are using advanced golf-performance technology to measure what is happening, understand why it is happening, and create a clear plan for improvement.
Putting Under the Microscope
Inside our dedicated putting lab, players are working with SAM PuttLab, one of the most advanced putting-analysis systems available.
SAM PuttLab measures the details that cannot be evaluated accurately with the naked eye, including:
- Putter-face angle
- Putter path
- Impact position
- Face rotation
- Tempo and timing
- Stroke consistency
The objective is not to force every golfer into the same putting stroke. It is to identify each player’s tendencies, improve consistency, and develop a repeatable motion that can perform under tournament pressure.
Understanding How Players Use the Ground
Players are also working with pressure and force-plate technology to better understand balance, pressure movement, weight transfer, and how they interact with the ground throughout the golf swing.
These measurements can reveal inefficiencies that affect speed, contact, direction, and consistency.
Seeing this information in real time allows players to connect what they feel with what is actually happening. That is often where meaningful improvement begins.
TrackMan Data and 3D Swing Sequencing
For full-swing training, TrackMan iO provides detailed club-delivery and ball-flight information, while Sportsbox AI 3D allows players and coaches to evaluate body movement and swing sequencing.
Players can see how the pelvis, torso, arms, and club are working together throughout the swing. Force-plate data adds another layer by showing how pressure movement and ground interaction connect to that sequence.
Instead of simply trying to swing harder or make a cosmetic change, players can work toward a more efficient motion that produces better contact, greater speed, and improved control.
A Complete Golf-Performance Environment
Modern golf development requires more than a launch monitor.
Putting, swing mechanics, ground forces, sequencing, club delivery, ball flight, and equipment all need to work together.
That is what The Clubhouse Hawaiʻi was built to provide.
We are proud that the University of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Pacific University men’s and women’s golf teams have chosen our facility as a place to train and prepare their players.
Their commitment reflects our goal: to give Hawaiʻi golfers access to serious technology, professional instruction, expert club fitting, and a training environment focused on measurable improvement.
Back to school means back to competition—and Hawaiʻi’s collegiate golfers are getting ready at The Clubhouse Hawaiʻi.
